Fashion Revues

Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 at 6:30 PM

Family and Community Education Clubs Fashion Revues will be held in the Family Living Center.

  • All seamstresses are invited to enter the Family and Community Club Fashion Revues. Participants ARE NOT required to be FCE members to enter.
  • First place winners in the adult division from the previous year's fashion are not eligible to enter the same category.
  • Participants must enter garments between 9:00 AM and noon Saturday, Sept. 2nd, 2017 at the Family Living Center.
  • The entry form, which can be found below or in a Dyer County Fair Book MUST be attached to the garment at the time of entry.
  • Models should arrive by 6:00 PM to dress for the revues.

Judging Guide for Family and Community Education Club Fashion Revues: All seamstresses are eligible to enter garments in this revue. Garments in these revues will not be evaluated on construction

The model: Poise, Grooming, Attitude - 50
(childrens behavior will not be included in this evaluation)

The Garment on the Model: Suitability of design and color, choice of texture and style, and fit - 50
(neck, wast, hemline, shoulder seam, side seams, and sleeves)

Accessories right for the model total: 100

Judging Guide for Sew With Cotton Revues: garments entered in the Sew With Cotton revues must be modeled by the seamstress. Garment construction will be evaluated prior to the revue based upon the following guide lines. The outer garment must be made with 100% cotton.

The Model: Poise, Grooming, Attitude - 20

The Garment on the Model:Suitability of design and color, choice of texture and style, and fit - 40
(neck, waist, hemline, shoulder seam, side seams, and sleeves)

Accessories right for the model construction - 40
Accurate cutting, non-fraying seams, finished to suit the cloth and location of seam, top-stitching uniform and correct, hem secure (inconspicuous), buttonholes and buttons suitable and correctly applied, zipper correctly applied (inconspicuous), interfacing and lining applied where needed, and hand sewing secure (inconspicuous).
