From the President...
To the Citizens of Dyer County:
I am deeply honored to serve as this year’s Dyer County Fair Board President. The fair is as much a part of my life as my dedication to Dyer County. My late husband, Al Bradshaw, was appointed as director in 1990. We remained active on the fair board together until his unexpected death in 1999. The board elected to move me in his director’s position soon after he passed away. This vote of confidence and family-like support helped my sons and me stay connected to our community and continue this family tradition.
The Dyer County Fair is a unique opportunity for our citizens to showcase their talents and expertise. From the canning department, to youth crops, livestock shows, and beauty contests, the fair is a unique “city” within itself. A walk through Sorghum Valley will take you back in time and give you a taste of the history of our corner of the State of Tennessee.
For those involved in the annual event, many long hours of hard work and dedication are what make our fair a premier event in West Tennessee. To the Officers and Directors of the Dyer County Fair, thank you for allowing me to represent you as president. Also, I would like to extend my thanks to my husband, Paul, and my sons, Cole Shelton, Sam Bradshaw and Jake Bradshaw, for generously allowing me to serve these years as a member and now president of the Dyer County Fair.
Please come and join us for a week of “Country Nights and Carnival Lights” at the Dyer County Fair!
With warmest regards,
Debbie Bradshaw-Hart
2011 Dyer County Fair Board President
