Schedule of Events

Our arena incorporates the old with the new. The bleacher seating in this facility was the original seating in the old Peoples Arena at the old fairgrounds. This building was funded in part by a $50,000 grant from the State of Tennessee Agriculture Department. During the fair, this arena is used for the livestock shows. The following is a schedule of events taking place in the arena.

Monday

5:30 PM - Junior Market Steer Show (Closed to Dyer Co. 4-H and FFA)
6:00 PM - Beef Cattle Show (Open and Junior) - Red and Black Angus

Tuesday

4:00 PM - 4-H/FFA Beef Judging
5:30 PM - Commercial Heifer Show (Junior Only)
6:00 PM - Beef Cattle Show (Open and Junior) - Charolais, Hereford, and other breeds

Wednesday

6:00 PM - Market/Breeding Goat Show

Thursday

Closed show for Dyer County 4-H/FFA members
1:00 PM - Junior Market Lamb/Hog show (Dyersburg/Dyer Co. 4-H and FFA Members only)
4:00 PM - 4-H/FFA Sheep/Swine Judging (Dyersburg/Dyer Co. 4-H and FFA Members only)
7:00 PM - Junior Market Animal Auction/Sale (Dyersburg/Dyer Co. 4-H and FFA Members only)
